The agreement
By creating a SocialMap account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SocialMap. These Terms took effect on 9 July 2026.
You must be 18 or older
SocialMap is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and you must give us your real date of birth. Accounts belonging to minors are removed when we find them.
One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else, and do not let anyone else use yours.
Your safety in the real world is yours to manage
SocialMap introduces you to people you do not know and helps you agree to meet them somewhere. We do not vet, background-check, or verify the people you meet. Host approval is a decision made by another user, not a safety guarantee from us.
You are responsible for your own decisions about who to meet, where, and when. Use judgement: meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, leave if you feel unsafe, and trust that instinct.
If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then tell us, so we can act on the account.
What you may not do
Do not use SocialMap to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, bully or intimidate anyone.
- Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your age or identity.
- Post sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a minor — we report this to the authorities without exception.
- Post content that is illegal, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or that incites harm against people because of who they are.
- Spam, advertise, recruit, solicit, or run commercial promotions.
- Upload someone else's photos, or content you have no right to share.
- Create activities that are fake, or that exist to lure people somewhere.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or attempt to break the service or its security.
- Collect other users' data, or share what you learn about them outside SocialMap.
The content you post
Your photos, your bio, your activities and your messages remain yours. You give us the limited permission we need to store them and to show them to the other users the app is designed to show them to — nothing more. We do not use your content to advertise, and we do not license it to anyone.
You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
Moderation and enforcement
We may review, restrict, hide or remove content, and we may suspend or permanently remove an account, when we reasonably believe it breaks these Terms or puts someone at risk. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.
Anyone can block or report another user from inside the app. Blocking is mutual: neither of you will see the other. Reports are read by a person.
Serious cases — credible threats, sexual content involving minors, or a crime — are reported to law enforcement.
What we do not promise
We do not guarantee that any activity will actually take place, that a host will approve you, that anyone will show up, or that the people who show up will be good company. Activities are created by users, not by us.
SocialMap is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the map will always be complete. We may change, suspend or discontinue features.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens between users, in the app or in the real world. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using SocialMap and delete your account whenever you like. We may terminate or suspend your access if you break these Terms, or if we stop offering the service.
The sections on content, moderation records, and liability survive the end of this agreement.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use SocialMap after that means you accept the new Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have jurisdiction. If you use SocialMap as a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away the protections of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
